Core Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of the role is to lead an Integrated Drug Discovery Project as a team leader.


Role Accountabilities:

Responsible for clear individual deliverable (30-40 reactions/month, 3-5 CE/month and 12-15 successful steps/month)

Responsible for his team’s deliverable: (40-45 reactions/month, >4 CE/month and 12-15 successful steps/month)

Responsible for project planning and execution (Scheme designing, RM ordering, Ontime delivery targets for him and his reportees)

Troubleshoot the problem areas of project (For and his reportees)

Ability to Plan the work independently and to perform the experiments as the planned schedule. Utilizing automation in rxn & purifications.

Neatness and completion of batch books on time.  Maintenance of Analytical Reports                      

Providing up to date. Experimental protocols in the required format. Zero violation of IP.

 In time delivery of products. Timely completion of the records.

Addressing Technical problems (in projects and process). Ability to guide junior scientists.

Good written/spoken communication. Active involvement in technical discussions.

Adhering to safe working practices (PPE, safety shield etc.). Zero Incidents Risk assessment and Hazard analysis for new reactions/operations. Adherence to Safety SOPs.

Specific requirements for this role

Experience: 2-6 years

Education: Ph.D in organic chemistry / Medicinal chemistry from reputed universities in India / abroad.

 

Behavioral / Managerial skills:

Proven ability to lead and motivate the teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A team player / works well in multi-discipline teams

Builds strong plans to provide clarity for others, and utilizes time management tools and capabilities.
