Job Purpose:

Experienced in the Safety department for API Pharmaceutical Manufacturing plant. .

Educational Qualification:  

B.E/B. Tech in chemical engineering and Diploma in industrial safety from reputed institute.

 

Experience:

 

 Minimum 3 to 5 years.

  • Ensure safety compliance by following safety protocols and EHS requirements at all times.
  • Ensure timely completion of mandatory safety and data integrity training for all team members.
  • Uphold Syngene’s quality standards in all operations.
  • Hold self and teams accountable for achieving safety goals.
  • Review and track safety metrics periodically.
  • Assist with Emergency Management System and Contractor Management.
  • Strengthen the Site Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Organize and coordinate practical demos and training for firefighting equipment for ERT members.
  • Provide training on Emergency and Disaster Management to employees, ensuring compliance.
  • Issue Work Permits for non-routine activities and ensure compliance with PTW conditions.
  • Participate in internal audits related to PTW.
  • Revise Onsite Emergency Response Plan based on process changes and legal requirements.
  • Assist in incident investigations and develop Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance of Emergency Equipment (Fire Detection & Protection, Eye Washers, Emergency Cupboards) across the site.
  • Coordinate and conduct Mock and Evacuation Drills and follow up on action items.
  • Update Operating Procedures/Guidelines for Emergency Equipment as per site requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of Fire Hydrant Pump House operations.
  • Ensure ERT availability and Fire Hydrant Operator presence during shift operations.
  • Conduct gap analysis in Emergency Management and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Assist in KAVACH implementation initiatives at the site.
  • Deliver PEP Talks and Toolbox Talks (TBT) to the production team during shift operations.
  • Issue and monitor Work Permits to ensure strict adherence to conditions.
  • Identify unsafe acts/conditions, report incidents/accidents/first aid, and support investigations.
  • Monitor critical activities in the Production and Warehouse areas, advising and training the teams on safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during operations.
  • Support Shift In-charge/Incident Controller in emergency situations during shift operations.
  • Assist in organizing campaigns, competitions, and activities to engage employees in maintaining safe working conditions.
