Summary

 

We are seeking a high-impact Sales Director to drive growth across the US West Coast for Syngene’s Drug Discovery Services business. This is a hunter–strategist role focused on winning new logos, expanding strategic accounts, and positioning Synvent, our integrated discovery platform, with biotech and pharma innovators.

This role is ideal for a proven CRO/CDMO sales leader with a strong network, a consultative selling mindset, and a consistent track record of delivering $10M+ annual revenue.

 

Key Skills & Core Requirements

 

Own and grow a multi-state territory, driving new business and expanding key biotech/pharma accounts.

Lead high-value deal cycles end-to-end: prospecting, RFI/RFP, solutioning, negotiation, and closure.

Sell integrated drug discovery capabilities, on Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, DMPK & Toxicology, Computational & Data Sciences.

Position Synvent (integrated discovery platform) to drive larger, multi-service engagements.

Build C-level and scientific stakeholder relationships through consultative, insight-led engagement.

Partner with global (India-based) scientific and delivery teams to craft differentiated solutions.

Develop and execute a territory growth strategy aligned with revenue targets and pipeline health.

Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM discipline, and pipeline visibility.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or related scientific discipline, MBA and/or PhD preferred.

10+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in CRO/CDMO organizations

Demonstrated success consistently exceeding $10M+ annual targets

Strong experience selling drug discovery services to biotech and pharma clients

Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles

Track record of opening new accounts and scaling strategic relationships

 

Desired Experience

 

Deep understanding of drug discovery workflows and outsourcing models

Ability to sell both functional services and integrated platforms

Strong commercial acumen: pricing, deal structuring, contract negotiation

Skilled in solution selling and value articulation at scientific and executive levels

Comfortable operating in a global, matrixed organization.
