Essential Functions
- Ensuring safety of self, teams and plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements always in the workplace.
- Operation and maintenance of 66KV/11KV, 20MVA substation, 11KV DG Sets, 11KV/433V Distribution transformers, 11KV HT switch gears, VCB, SF6 breakers, numerical relays, UPS, and SCADA operation.
- Tracking the consumption of power and utility within the budgeted value.
- Tracking the Electrical units consumed to be in line with the established EnPI (Energy Performance Indicators)
- Reducing overall power consumption by 3% from the estimated value YoY
- Reducing overall water consumption by 2% from the estimated value YoY
- Maintaining R&M budget within the budgeted value.
- Tracking and providing the projection to utilise the maximum renewable power sources.
- Achieving SQDECC maturity index KPIs at CUF (Central Utility Facility) YoY.
- Meeting SLA: power restoration to substation transformers without any deviations as defined in SOP.
- Implementing Enterprise asset management system under SAP for efficient monitoring of asset life cycle in CUF and ensuring the timely execution of equipment preventive maintenance to achieve zero breakdown.
- Maintaining power quality and safety of the Electrical Network across Syngene in HT system as per IEEE standards at BSEZ.
- Ensuring the relay co-ordination has been maintained as per the recommendation from upstream to low stream power distribution and implementing Arc Flash Study, power quality study recommendations to improve Electrical Safety.
- ISO 50001 for Energy Excellence as part of Energy Management System at all Bangalore facilities
- No Critical Observations from Internal & External Auditors (CEIG, KPTCL, BESCOM) under engineering perspective
- Contributing infrastructure development AOP projects like Rainwater harvesting, power network enhancements, recycling of clean utilities and energy conservation projects
- Providing technical and personal competency skills by organizing appropriate training to the team members
Educational Qualification: BE
Experience: 15 to 18 years
Relevant experience: Any industry having 66KV and above power grid substation experience
Additional qualification: Electrical supervisor license from CEIG- Karnataka is preferred.
