Core Purpose of the Role:

Syngene's computational and data sciences solutions enable informed decisions for research and development. We are an interdisciplinary group of scientists with expertise across computational biology, computational chemistry, data sciences and research informatics. We help resolve complex drug discovery problems from target identification and hit identification to lead optimization and translational insights.

We are seeking a highly motivated mathematical modeller to join our team. You will be working with an interdisciplinary group of scientists to solve complex problems in biology using the concepts of dynamical systems theory

 

Role Accountabilities:

  • Lead the application of quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) for translational applications, novel target identification and formulation development
  • Oversee the development of mechanistic solutions that provide value for clients across diverse domains
  • Establish cross-functional collaborations with operational units across discovery and development to create unique value propositions
  • Monitor projects, milestones, and deliverables to ensure completion on time and within specification
  • Develop case studies, contribute to conferences for market development

 

Functional or Technical skills:

  • Perform in a fast-paced environment towards data collection for target, disease, or drug from scientific publications, clinical research, patents, company pipeline, databases, etc.
  • Interpretation of scientific insights from large amount of biological data collected from multiple sources based on client requirements.
  • Data analysis, preparation of quality reports and presentations for client meeting.
  • Work collaboratively with team members for continuous improvement in target dossier or target safety assessment report.
  • Support in silico antibody design program by closely working with CADD and computational biology teams.
  • Multitasking and critical thinking.
  • Commitment to foster a collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Candidate should adhere both quality and safety compliance according to organizational policies/procedures and regulatory guidelines.

 

Qualification:

PhD in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacometrics, Systems Biology/Pharmacology or Masters with 4-5 years of relevant experience.
