Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced oncology/immuno-oncology scientist to drive pre-clinical drug discovery projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • For running independent project(s) in the areas of oncology/immuno-oncology
  • For driving the assigned project with full commitment,
  • To champion the biology of project, MoA, PK/PD correlation, models required to drive the project and work in collaboration with team members within the domain, across different domains and across department
  • To take active participation in running experiments, compiling the data in required format and preparing study reports
  • To train and mentor other scientists in a timely manner
  • To work in a collaborative fashion with research scientists from various disciplines


Educational Qualification:Masters with Sound knowledge of oncology/immuno-oncology with focus on in vivo experience in handling multiple syngeneic and xenograft models.

 

Required Skills:

Scientific Execution & Study Leadership

  • Design, plan, execute, and interpret in vivo pharmacology studies in oncology and immuno-oncology (efficacy, PK-PD, MOA).
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of syngeneic and xenograft tumor models, including study setup, monitoring, and endpoint analysis.
  • Perform and oversee key experimental procedures:
    • Tumor cell implantation
    • Compound dosing (multiple routes)
    • Tumor measurement and monitoring
    • Blood collection for PK
    • Tissue collection for PD and downstream analysis
  • Support mechanistic studies through integration of in vitro/ex vivo experiments as needed.
  • Contribute to model development, optimization, and validation to enhance translational relevance.

 

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a small team (2–3 scientists/associates) in the in vivo pharmacology lab.
  • Provide scientific and operational guidance, ensure quality execution, and review experimental data.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team and across cross-functional groups (biology, DMPK, biomarker, etc.).
  • Coordinate study timelines, prioritize workload, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Data Analysis & Communication

  • Perform data analysis using GraphPad Prism (including appropriate statistical methods).
  • Interpret results, generate clear conclusions, and provide actionable insights to project teams.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality data presentations to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Ensure timely and transparent data sharing across platforms.

Laboratory Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely electronic lab notebooks.
  • Adhere to EHS, animal ethics, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Ensure best practices in experimental rigor, reproducibility, and data integrity.
