Job Purpose (1-2 Lines): Analytical Research and Development enabling Chemical Development and API Supply
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine analysis of in-process and isolated samples for early intermediates and APIs using chromatographic and wet analytical techniques
- Interpretation of analytical results and planning of experiments accordingly in coordination with the chemistry team
- Method development and qualification
- Electronic lab notebook documentation and review of documents generated by peers or junior analyst
- Attend weekly project review meetings
- Prepare analytical method reports
- Lead or champion an initiative related to lab or project workflow within the department
- As a senior analyst, contribute to more than one project at a time and potentially lead a project
- Responsible for clear individual deliverables
- Supervise the subordinates for timely completion of assigned projects
- Responsible for project planning and execution
- Responsible for periodic reports updating to both internal and external clients
- Working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
- Presenting the scientific data in internal and external forums
Educational Qualifications: M.Sc. Chemistry or M. Pharm or Ph.D
- The candidate should have a good educational and theoretical, analytical chemistry background
- Good knowledge of analytical techniques and analytical data interpretation
- The candidate should understand method development, method qualification, and routine analysis and possess very competent analytical skills
- Experience and detailed knowledge of method development for drug substance (API), w.r.t. tests like assay, purity/impurity, moisture content, total volatiles, and degradation products to lead a project
- Good understanding of documentation as per GxP requirements (electronic notebook)
- The candidate should have good proficiency in MS office tools
Experience: 15-17 years with M.Sc. or 12-14 years with M. Pharm or 3-6 years with Ph.D
