Job Purpose (1-2 Lines): To provide Molecular biology support for discovery programs.

Must Have Technical Skills:

·         Design and perform Cloning to support Discovery programs for Cell line engineering and protein generation

·         A thorough understanding of various expression vectors, tags and promoters to design vectors for screening assays

·         Expertise in recombinant DNA techniques like PCR, RT-PCR, etc.

·         Experience with Ligation based cloning, recombination-based cloning, shRNA cloning, Sub cloning, Long range PCR

·         Site directed mutagenesis

·         Sanger sequence data analysis

·         Well versed in softwares like Vector NTI/Geneious/ SnapGene

·         Diligent documentation skills and experience writing detailed E-Lab/Lab Notebooks

·         Possess the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices

Desirable

·         Reagent inventory maintenance

·         Experience with liquid handlers

·         High throughput cloning techniques

·         NGS library Prep

Educational Qualifications:

M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology/Biology/Molecular Biology/2-4 years of research experience

Behavioral Skills

• A proactive team player.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision; comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing requirements.
• Good oral and written communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
