Core Purpose of the Role:

As a Senior Research Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our genomic research team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and execute experiments to study molecular and cellular processes, including gene expression, protein function, and genetic modifications.
• Develop and optimize protocols for molecular techniques such as gene cloning, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR
• Interpret experimental data and present findings in reports, research papers, and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including bioinformaticians, biochemists, and other scientists to integrate data and achieve project goals.
• Stay current with advancements in molecular biology and related fields, and apply new techniques and technologies to research.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

Role Accountabilities

• Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience with molecular biology techniques and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of molecular genetics, gene regulation, and protein biochemistry.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot experimental issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting research findings.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Experience: 3-6 years

• Education: Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience with molecular biology techniques and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of molecular genetics, gene regulation, and protein biochemistry.

Behavioral / Managerial skills: Demonstrated capabilities in leading a team and working in a matrix environment. Ability to rationally discuss data make data-driven decisions, and influence decisions to select optimal molecules for development. Ability to work in collaboration with a large inter-disciplinary team and assimilate data from various aspects. Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, analytical, and scientific project management skills
• Ability to work with senior management with professionalism and discretion
