Job Purpose:

This is a lab-based position, working with drug metabolism and transporter team. The major purpose will be performing in vitro ADME studies for new chemical entities and assist the team to deliver on its objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have good understanding of In-vitro ADME assays like plasma protein binding, metabolic stability, plasma and blood stability, cytochrome P450 inhibition, and blood to plasma ratio studies.  He/She should be well versed in handling of biological matrices such as plasma, blood, microsomes, hepatocytes, S9 and cytosol. The candidate must have good data analysis skills and written and oral communication skills.  This role requires the candidate to take up some general lab related responsibilities like chemical inventory, instrument monitoring, managing lab safety. Hands on experience with transporters and/or metabolite identification is a plus for this position.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • M.Pharm/M.Sc. with minimum 0-3 years in In-vitro DMPK.

 

 

 

 

Technical/functional Skills:

Must have:

  • Preparation of compound stocks, buffers, media and other materials required for In-vitro ADME experimental work. 
  • Perform In-vitro ADME assays like plasma protein binding, metabolic stability, plasma and blood stability, cytochrome P450 inhibition, and blood to plasma ratio studies.
  • Handling of plasma and whole blood.
  • Handling of cellular and subcellular fractions such as Microsomes, Hepatocytes, S9 and Cytosol etc.
  • Use of analytical equipment such as HPLC and (u)HPLC-MS/MS will be an added advantage.
  • Monitoring of consumables stock levels in the laboratory and re-stocking shelves.
  • Contributing to process improvement and the sharing of new ideas within the team.
