Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive biotransformation support to drug discovery programs. A lab-based position, working within the biotransformation team.

Educational Qualification requirements: Masters in Pharmacy / Sciences

Experience: 0-2 Years

Key Responsibilities:         

• Conduct of metabolite identification experiments and structural elucidation of metabolites
• Handling mass spectrometers
• Good understanding of biotransformation fundamentals and enzymology.
• Understanding of advanced biotransformation studies such as bile duct cannulated studies and reaction phenotyping.
• Interact with the metabolism group and be familiar with their assays and provide bench level, technical and conceptual support as needed.
• Basic understanding of inhibition and metabolic stability assays.
• Perform activities within defined timelines and meeting defined quality expectations.

Other Responsibilities:  

• Work with other sub-disciplines within PCO to support projects. Assist in sharing and inculcating best practices across the group.
• Capability Development Responsibilities: Work on exploratory and capability development projects as relevant to the organization.
• Any other duties given from time to time in operations by the line manager
