Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading up to multiple Biologics site operations in India. Responsible for the delivery of safe workplace practices, quality and cost-effective supply of products. Ensuring all the units are GMP complied.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the leadership, lean culture, short- and long-term strategy, GMP compliance, financial management, and overall SQDEEC performance of Biologics Operations
  • Member of Site Leadership Team that is responsible for setting site strategy, leading through change, driving site performance and culture, and delivering site objectives
  • Key strategic role in driving the business forward in all areas through strong collaboration with other senior leaders.
  • Responsible for mentoring & professional development of the Operations hub; providing direction, development, and performance management to team members
  • Responsible for the P&L of multiple operation sites in India
  • Establish efficient cross functional teams to develop and deliver the annual operational plan for the business unit/s
  • Ensure all operations activities align with organizational requirements with regards to Supply, Quality, EHS, E&M and legislative expectations and requirements.
  • To drive site performance using SQDECC principles, work cross functionally across disciplines.
  • Full responsibility for the deliverables of the manufacturing plants across locations in India.
  • Quality and Compliance knowledge
  • Preference given to Biologics experience
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience of managing GMP expectations in a fast-paced, customer-focused Manufacturing / fill finish / Engineering environment.
  • Creative individual with excellent problem-solving skills, as they relate to scientific and engineering principles.
  • Experience of working in a heavily regulated environment with specific exposure to MHRA, FDA & Environmental Agency
  • Holds Sponsorship role for a variety of capital/non-capital programmes that support growth aspirations and site continuous improvement

 

Behavioural/Managerial Skills:

  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement experience with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt status as a minimum desirable.

  • Create a team and a culture of excellence.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to govern and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Degree
  • Training or experience in formulation, packaging, sterile operations
  • Multiple Site or function experience
  • Progressive knowledge of cGMP requirements
  • Experience in end-to-end, cross-functional Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 7 years managerial experience
