Mandatory expectation for all roles as per Syngene safety guidelines
- Biologics Upstream research and development, Upstream process Optimization and characterization, technology transfer to GMP facility.
- Author the technical document related to Upstream process development
- Actively involve in scale-up and technology transfer to GMP manufacturing.
- Author, review protocols, reports, scale up & scale down studies, tech transfer documents, deviation and executed Batch records.
- Regular documentation of experiments contemporaneously in electronic lab notebook.
- Compilation of experimental data for further evaluation.
- Authoring technical reports and communicating the key findings.
- Participating in the weekly team meetings.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance in issuance of lab notebooks and archival of records such as logbooks, lab notebooks, protocols, reports, documents in electronic management system.
- Well versed with TrackWise or similar QMS systems

Experience
- Should have a strong background in mammalian expression platform and bioreactors operations.
- Experience in both Upstream early and late-stage development of mAbs and fusion proteins
- Good knowledge on Upstream Process optimization and Process characterization studies
- Experienced in handling instruments like Shake flask / 3L, 5L Bioreactor / AMBR250 / Automatic cell counter / Metabolite Analyzer / Osmometer / Biosafety Cabinet
- Ability to learn quickly, enthusiastic, sincere, positive attitude, hardworking
- Basic understanding of statistics, DoE and data visualization
Skills and Capabilities
- Design, plan, conduct experiments and evaluate the outcome.
- Make detailed observations, execute, analyze data, interpret and presents results.
- Execute experiments using DoE/OFAT approach for process development and optimization.
- Expertise in operating Upstream lab instruments such as Biosafety cabinets, Incubators, Centrifuges, Vertical and Horizontal Autoclave, Vi-Cell XR/Blu, Cedex Bio /Bio HT, BGA, pH meter and Osmometer.
- Skilled in operation of shake flasks, benchtop bioreactors, ambr250.
- Co-ordinate work with other functions/departments to achieve project objectives
- Experience in using electronic lab notebook, Electronic Database Management System (EDMS), TrackWise is preferable not mandatory.
Education
- M.Tech, or M.Sc. in Life Science/Biotechnology/ Bioprocess Engineering/ Pharmaceuticals/Biopharmaceuticals/ Biopharmaceutical Technology/ Biochemistry or equivalent degree.
