Core Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Scientist to join our team in PD-DS group. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the manufacturing operations in scale up lab /pilot plant. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, holding a Diploma in chemical engineering or BSc chemistry, with relevant industry experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out the manufacturing operations in scale up lab /pilot plant. compliance with current manufacturing practices, good documentation practices and data integrity policy.
  • Always ensure readiness of the facility.
  • Monitoring and control of production operations.
  • Coordination for preparation of the master document required for production like SOP, EOP, PDR.
  • Contemporaneous documentation of the activities in electronic notebooks, lab notebooks or BMR during the batch execution as per ALCOA principle.
  • Ensure equipment PM & instrument calibration are within the due date by coordinating with EAM team.
  • Calibration checking for the instruments like pH meter and weighing balances in scale up lab/pilot plant.
  • Checking the equipment’s readiness to initiate the manufacturing activity and ensure the raw materials, cleanliness before bringing it inside the plant.
  • Maintain always keeping of the working area clean.
  • Update and maintain the logbooks and daily checklists.
  • Must have good hold on MS office, outlook, and other essential tools required for routine activity.
  • Cooperation with co-worker and focus on good relationship with all cross functional team.
  • Shift update to superiors on the status of the project and plan status

Education: Diploma in chemical engineering / BSc Chemistry

 

Experience in process development and scale-up within the chemical manufacturing industry.

Should have the experience in handling of chemical reactions in pilot plant/ scale up lab/production.

Should have the experience in batch charging, filtration/work up and drying activities as per the batch requirement and product handling and packaging.

Should have the good documentation knowledge about to BMR, logbooks and lab note/electronic notebooks.

Should have good communication and computer skills.
