Job Purpose:

A highly motivated individual with a strong interest in In-vitro ADME assays to lead and support Amgen’s drug discovery projects by providing scientific oversight and managing people while monitoring team performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan activities to screen compounds in In-Vitro metabolism, protein binding, transporters, permeability assays to support drug discovery projects
  • Design and execute investigative and mechanistic assays to address the issues and support the discovery programs
  • Plan and monitor the weekly in-vitro studies by the project requirements and communicate the data to the internal and external stakeholders
  • Diligent data review, preparing presentations, and presenting to the client.  
  • Ensure the team captures raw data, metadata, and processed data in Logbooks, LNB/eLNs
  • Attention to detail and effective communication and documentation skills is desired.
  • Forecast and maintain the critical inventories to maintain smooth workflows.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with safety, integrity and QA policies.
  • Adherence to Good Research practices of the organization.

Educational Qualification: M.Sc (Chemistry/Biological Sciences)/M. Pharm from a reputed University

Work Experience: 9 to 12 years of experience in industry.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of drug discovery concepts.
  • Sound knowledge in DMPK, In vitro ADME, in vivo PK/ADME studies, bioanalytical, metabolite identification, and profiling, etc.
  • Experience with both small and large molecules, biochemical and cellular assays, multiple technological platforms, automation, and high-throughput screening
  • Strong background in automation, with a track record of working with small molecule drug discovery programs
  • Experience with liquid handling platforms is a plus

  • Experience in data management, inventory creation and integration of the hardware with software
