Core Purpose of the Role:

Synthesis of peptides from milligram to multi-gram scale & maintenance of all peptide synthesis/related equipment.

 

Role Accountabilities

  • Should be well versed with synthetic peptide chemistry, with expertise in the synthesis of long chain, branched, labelled, disulphide, lactam and head to tail cyclized peptides.
  • Should have thorough scientific/technical expertise to independently carry out solid phase peptide synthesis and characterization of peptides using HPLC & LCMS.
  • Should be able to plan and execute day to day operations in peptide synthesis lab which includes identification of synthetic routes for conformationally constrained peptides and derivatized peptides
  • Should be able to prepare protocols, guidelines, SOPs for lab equipments/instruments and processes.
  • Should have a reasonable understanding of systems and process pertaining to safety, health and environment.
  • Compliance to Syngene’ s quality standards at all times and ensuring the same by the team members.

Educational Qualification: M.Sc (Chemistry Biochemistry/Biotech)

 

Work Experience: 0-3 years of experience in peptide Chemistry.
