Job Title: Project Manager - Digital Governance & Strategy

Core Purpose of the Role:
Seeking a Project Manager to lead Digital IT initiatives across Syngene, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the company’s digital strategy. The role will drive value delivery from these initiatives, track value accrual post-implementation, and establish governance by defining procedures and processes, while managing risks and stakeholder expectations.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead Digital IT Initiatives: Manage end-to-end delivery of digital projects across Syngene, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure all projects align with Syngene’s overall digital strategy and contribute to business objectives.
- Value Delivery & Tracking: Drive measurable value from digital initiatives and establish mechanisms to track value accrual post-implementation.
- Governance & Process Definition: Develop and enforce governance frameworks, including defining procedures, processes, and best practices for project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution and minimal disruption.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain strong communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, prepare status reports, and present insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements in project management methodologies and digital delivery practices.
- Prepare strategy plan and approach documents on select critical projects if required by closely working with the Workstream leads. Monitor and track the execution of these projects
- Role will involve identifying cross-functional elements of the strategic projects and work collaboratively with the stakeholders to keep the momentum towards execution and timely delivery
- Defining the program governance and manage the Monthly 1-3-5 review meetings with OUs, Divisions and CXOs.
- Provide hands-on support for creating impactful presentations for the CTO office, contribute to innovative initiatives such as developing newsletters, and assist in weekly digital content publishing.
- Overall, the project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed successfully, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also managing project risks and stakeholder expectations.
Education and Experience:
- B. Tech /B.E./MCA /MTech in Computer Science/ Information Technology with mastery in project management and implementing Digital solution at respective area. Working experience in Pharma/Life science domain will be preferred. PMP Certification will be preferred for the is position
Skills and Capabilities:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end, including estimation, project planning, governance, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Strong experience in leading technology projects and applying appropriate project management methodologies—Predictive, Agile, and Hybrid.
- Skilled in collaborating with executive-level stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional discussions to resolve issues and achieve consensus.
- Proficient in using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience in implementing digital solutions that drive organizational transformation.
- Demonstrated success in managing IT projects across Discovery, Development, Manufacturing Services, and Enabling Services (Quality, SCM, HR, and Finance).
- Expertise in SAP and other ERP implementations, with strong knowledge of pharma domain applications.
- Ability to identify valuable data sources, automate data collection, analyze large datasets to uncover trends and patterns, and preprocess structured and unstructured data.
- Experience in deploying new technologies that enhance productivity and deliver cost savings.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet business needs and achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Proven track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously with full lifecycle management.
- Deep understanding and practical experience in adopting project management approaches—Predictive, Agile, and Hybrid.
