Core Purpose of the Role:

  • Lead the implementation and successful completion of internal and client-oriented projects.
  • Develop project proposals tailored to specific client requirements.
  • Contribute technical expertise to organizational initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Guide and mentor team members while defining strategic roadmaps to strengthen and expand current capabilities.

 

Role Accountabilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned CADD projects by adhering to established quality standards and compliance with related SOPs.
  • Responsible for applying computational, data-driven approaches to support drug discovery and development.
  • Deep understanding of molecular modeling techniques for the design and evaluation of both small molecules and biologics.
  • This position demands strong expertise in cheminformatics, including managing chemical data, developing and integrating tools to streamline research workflows, and leveraging machine learning for compound property prediction and lead optimization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, along with hands-on experience using cheminformatics tools & linux is essential.
  • Identify and resolve problems where computational modeling can significantly improve the drug discovery process fostering a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Adherence to quality and project guidelines as per QA metrics, w.r.t. content accuracy, concise reporting, plagiarism, redundancy, relevance, formatting (spelling, grammar, typos).
  • Maintain documentation for processes followed as per ALCOA+ principles.
  • Attend and complete all mandatory trainings on time and maintain training records.

Specific requirements for this role

 

Education & experience: PhD / post-doc in Cheminformatics, Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or related field.

 

Skills and Capabilities: Strong scientific expertise in Cheminformatics, molecular modeling and related disciplines, with demonstrated ability to interpret the results to provide rationale to drug discovery projects. Proficiency in drug discovery principles, with analytical thinking, scientific writing, and communication skills to deliver high-quality reports.
