Purpose: To implement the Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Operational Excellence practices at shop floor level and drive improvements through the identified initiatives to meet the operations goals and support in CI culture building.
Education & Experience: Graduate or masters (Engineer is preferred) with min 10 Years of experience, Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt from any reputed institute-ASQ, BMGI, TQMI or equivalent.
Out of the total experience Min 7 years’ Experience in Six Sigma, Lean & other CI tools with hands on experience of executing CI Projects and initiatives.
Business Understanding: Pharma/Biotech/FMCG/Any other relevant Manufacturing Process & Knowledge of Analytics tools and techniques
Technical competencies
1. Six Sigma, Lean, Cost diagnostics & other CI methodologies.
2. Knowledge of Manufacturing, Engineering and other associated processes.
3. Basic knowledge of SAP
3. Sound Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PPT and other office tools. Minitab expertise is mandatory.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
•    Continuous Improvement: Work on the shop floor implementation of continuous improvement initiatives starting from the opportunity identification, defining problem, analyzing the root cause(s)/real issues, helping teams to design and till the implementation of the solutions.
Work on the sustenance of the solutions and improvements.
IN ORDER TO drive the Continuous improvement process at the shop floor level.
•    Waste Elimination: Work on the waste identification through value stream mapping, Process Mapping and other waste identification techniques like 3 "M".
Work on waste reduction using Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies- DMAIC. Cut Non value adding activities and simplify the processes 
IN ORDER TO reduce the waste and simplify the processes.
•    Lean Manufacturing: Implement the Lean principles at shop floor level.
Design & Implement the LDM boards with the right set of KPIs, create the huddle process in the different functions and drive the change management process through shop floor implementation of DMS & Gemba.
Work on the shop floor cultural improvement and implement the Lean processes across functions.
IN ORDER TO implement the Lean practices at Shop floor level.
•    Cost reduction: Identify the cost reduction opportunities, perform cost and efficiency diagnostics and find out the gaps.
Work with the functions- Mfg, Engg, Quality, SCM, Finance and support to identify the key levers of cost reduction in each process.
Work on solutions for cost reduction, explore new ideas/technologies, engage with external vendors, evaluate the solutions, perform pilots and work with functions for final implementation through proper change control wherever required.
IN ORDER TO reduce/optimize the cost of Operating expenses.
•    Analytics & Standardization: Create analytics of key processes and KPIs, standardize dashboards, create visualization and simplify the analysis
IN ORDER TO improve processes through meaningful and visual analytics
•    Training: Identify the training needs and conduct the training sessions for the topics of LDM, 5S, SMED, Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt etc
