Job Title: Master Data Governance partner

Job Location: Bangalore, KA

Reporting to: Lead - Master data management

Department: Strategic Sourcing Department

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for overall managing the creation/modification of material master, vendor master, service master and hygiene check periodically.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creation, modification/extension, and deletion of codes in material (Except FFG & FG) and , vendor, and service master as per the SOP and timelines
  2. Perform review of incoming code creation requests to ensure details shared are complete and correct (CAS no, GST and PAN information, etc) while flagging discrepancies to code requestors.
  3. Perform duplication check for every code creation request against the existing master data and ensure duplicate codes are not created.
  4. Measure defined individual KPI’s and report back to team lead periodically as per scorecard
  5. Conduct master data health check monthly for the KPIs assigned and identify root causes for issues, prepare Corrective Actions Preventive Actions (CAPA) and drive to closure as per timelines.
  6. Update Vendor master with additional mandatory details collected from suppliers such as Anti Bribery Anti-Corruption (ABAC)
  7. Collect all vendor related documents (PAN, GST, MSME, Bank details and archive in MDG tool)
  8. Resolve escalation from code requestors and other stakeholders as and when required.
  9. Completion of assigned trainings including GMP focused topics within target timelines.
  10. Verify the duplicate code available in SAP and create material code creation rule
  11. Very good understanding of SAP materials management
  12. Previous work experience in MDG would be advantageous
  13. Work experience in MDG tool is preferred
  14. Basic understanding of pharma or chemical industry is required.
  15. Good understanding of Material management process

Educational Qualification:  

  • Candidate should be B. Tech/ BE /B Com/ M Com/ B. Sc./ M. Sc. (With category procurement understanding)

 

Technical/functional Skills:

 

  • Must have skills:

 

    1. Strong background in solving problems through data analysis and first principle thinking.
    2. Must be well-versed with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
    3. Data analytics

 

  • Good to have skills:
    1. Understanding of SAP master management (MM module)
    2. Vendor management
    3. Hands on knowledge of supply chain functions with category procurement.

Experience:

  1. 1-3 years’ experience in master data management (Material master, vendor master and service master)
  2. Prior experience in the pharma/ life sciences domain is added advantage.

  2. Stakeholder management skills: proven ability to communicate problems and required resolution positively and proactively to manage suppliers and internal stakeholders.
