- Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time
Job responsibilities:
o Apply chemical engineering principles to innovate, design and develop processes in laboratory
o Analyze, review, and develop recommendations towards engineering data generated in the laboratory to support scaleup activities
o Develop robust upstream and downstream processes such as reaction optimization, crystallization, distillation, filtration, drying and evaporation to support manufacturing campaigns
o Develop advanced process intensification activities such as process feasibility evaluation, robustness testing, hypothesis testing etc.
o Provide technical support and overview of all ongoing process development projects and operations in the laboratory
o Introducing new technologies to the process research and development group including process engineering
o Design and execute process optimization activities using advanced statistical tools such as DoE (Design of experiments), QbD, FMEA etc.
o Utilize PAT tools (ReactIR, FBRM, PVM) for developing robust processes to support projects
o Provide investigations support into process abnormalities and troubleshooting of plant activities
o Apply process engineering principles to support scaleup of product campaigns at pilot and commercial scale
o Interact with customers, vendors, project leads, cross functional team in deploying scaleup plans across projects.
o Batch and equipment planning support based on strong chemical engineering and process knowledge
o Support execution of scaleup campaigns and providing directions to technology transfer and production teams
o Act as a subject matter expert in process scaleup
Experience
- PhD with 3 - 6 years
