Core Purpose of the Role:
Role Accountabilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor preventive breakdown, and predictive maintenance of API manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain high availability and reliability of API manufacturing equipment’s:
- Reactors (GLR, SSR, HLR)
- Centrifuges
- Nutsche Filters
- Distillation columns & evaporators
- Dryers (Vacuum, Fluid Bed, Tray)
- Blenders, pulverisers, micronizers
- Pumps, compressors, heat exchangers
- Agitated vessels and storage tanks
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions & Preventive actions.
- Adhering to regulatory & statutory requirements related to functional areas.
- Close all audit findings within stipulated timelines; ensure QMS & EHSS compliance.
- Fulfil statutory requirements for elevators, pressure vessels, lifts, and stackers.
- Coordinate periodic self‑inspections and regulatory audits.
- Manage maintenance budgeting, costing, inventory, and vendors.
- Know electrical systems, networks, spray systems, and new electrical implementations.
- Prepare & review of qualification protocols, study reports, and post‑maintenance release of equipment.
- Work on SAP system, Trackwise system & EDMS system for creation and review.
- Initiation of purchase requisitions and further follow up supply chain & vendors to get required materials on time.

- To ensure compliance with Safety at workplace and place Safety at number one priority with Engineering and Projects.
- Ensure chemical development manufacturing facility equipment, premises, and utility systems are well maintained as per GMP and GEP requirements.
- Responsible for facility modifications and maintenance activities of chemical development manufacturing facility.
- Involving User and CFT team during equipment, campaign process and facility modification risk assessment and quality management system.
- Responsible for KAVACH program implementation as per the plan.
- Responsible for SQDEC program regular updates.
- Adhering to DI, Quality, Energy, Hygiene and EHSS policies.
Education
BE/B.Tech/Diploma in degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
