Job Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications professional to manage our internal communications needs. Internally, you will promote a positive company image and control the dissemination of information on our company’s behalf. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you gain the trust of colleagues and internal/external parties we work with.   

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manage the internal communication channels at Syngene – primary owner of broadcasting messages on all internal communication avenues like intranet, digital screens, sandwich boards etc and any other new platforms that maybe introduced
  • Primarily support the internal communications leads and work closely with other members of the Comms team on special projects/initiatives as needed
  • Support with the event management/planning of large employee events
  • Develop effective corporate communication strategies, when required
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce copy for social media posts
  • Work closely and coordinate with multiple teams across Syngene for their communication requirements
  • Fact checking/data mining and supporting the comms team for various communication initiatives
  • Conduct industry research and maintain a repository of the key trends/numbers in the sector
  • Take ownership of tasks and adhere to timelines and high-quality standards
  • Support the content strategy for a special section called ‘Science Corner’ on the intranet
  • Design creatives for internal communications (good to have, not a must have)
  • Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership. Should be comfortable interacting with senior leaders.

 

Technical/functional Skills:

  • Proven experience as a communications specialist
  • Excellent communication skills in English – written and spoken
  • Ability to draft error-free documents, and simplify complex concepts
  • Ability to think on their feet and proactively produce new ideas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment matrix organization, with tight deadlines
  • Should be a good team player and have a ‘can do’ and collaborative attitude
  • Good documentation and planning skills
  • Details oriented
  • Willingness to learn
  • Should be tech-savvy
  • Must be well versed with MS Suite, including newer tools such as SharePoint. Photo and video-editing software is an asset
  • BSc/BA/MA in public relations, communications or relevant field. Advertising or PR agency experience will be a plus point
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities 
  • Ability to design creatives/edit videos (good to have, not a must have)
  • 7-9 years of relevant Corporate Communications experience
