Core Purpose of the Role: Understand the informatics needs of Syngene Discovery Services and provide effective business solution. Coordinate between Client team, scientists and vendor for any solution development. Take a complete ownership of managing Information Technology vertical on behalf of Syngene Global IT for the customer. Implement new solutions/applications and provide support for existing scientific applications running at the site. Facilitate computer system validation and ensures that scientific applications are always in validated state. Create budget, Annual plan, monitor spending and ensuring adherence to the financial of the site. Manage expectations of the customer pertaining to Information Technology.
Role Accountabilities:
- Responsible for defining & implementing Digital transformation roadmap for a Discovery unit of Syngene
- Manage end to end IT operations at unit level – Onboarding, Access management, Compliance management, Budget, RFP’s, Cyber security etc.
- Responsible for implementation and support of informatics application (ELN, Compound registration, Mosaic Sample inventory management)
- Lead and own the projects from inception to Go Live and adoption
- Implement new projects/solutions as per business needs. Coordinates between scientists, Syngene Corporate IT and vendor for solution development/implementation
- Develop an implementation and change management plan to drive adoption of new solutions
- Evaluate discovery process workflows, data sources and develop efficient, scalable & Comprehensive Data Management Strategy for the Discovery Services
- Establish support process for informatics applications – eLN, LIMS, Compound Mgmt, CDS etc. against defined service level agreement with end users
- In partnership with Syngene Clients, extend (rollout) client scientific applications at Syngene. Establish a governance model to track & support client applications.
- Ensure that instrument software’s & scientific applications running are always in validated state as per defined compliance standards. Implement Data Integrity Controls to ensure Data Security, Longevity fidelity & Accessibility.
- Leverage new technologies for Advance Analytics & Predictive modelling with the objective to provide new business capabilities and services that add value to our clients.
- Build BI dashboards for management and operation level
- Work as a bridge between Syngene IT and Customer IT
- Represent Syngene during Customer Audit and take ownership for all internal / external IT audits
- Create Management presentations, Annual Plan, Budget, Resource plan and execute the same for the OU

- Experience: Min 12 Years relevant IT experience
- Education: Postgraduate in Science/MCA
Skills and Capabilities
- Experience in demonstrating a track record of delivering scientific solutions in the pharmaceutical and CRO / CRDMO industry.
- Experience in the implementation of Pharma R&D Informatic applications like (Electronic Laboratory Notebooks(eLNB), Laboratory Information Management System, compound registration system.)
- Experience in working with Data acquisition layer /Comprehensive Data Management /Data Lake/ Data Mart (Data Warehouse) and Scientific Data Management System (SDMS).
- Having the hands-on experience on implementation of compound registration system and sample inventory management system (e.g. mosaic titian)
- Experience with Software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Must have Chemical/Compound/ Bio/Mol Registration software experience.
- The successful candidate will provide hands on support for laboratory applications.
- Experience in the implementation of Informatic applications like (Electronic Laboratory Notebooks(elNB), Laboratory Information Management System, Chromatography Data system (CDS) and other scientific applications.
- Experience in working with Data acquisition layer /Comprehensive Data Management /Data Lake/ Data Mart (Data Warehouse) and Scientific Data Management System (SDMS).
- Must have excellent command over industry business processes across business functions, and experience of working in the Indian CRO/Pharmaceutical market.
