Role Purpose

The Lead – Agentic AI Platform will be responsible for building, operating, and scaling an enterprise-grade Agentic AI Platform to enable organization-wide adoption of AI agents and intelligent workflows. The role focuses on platform ownership, integration architecture, and use case delivery across manufacturing, R&D, quality, and enterprise functions.

This role transitions Syngene from traditional RPA into agent-based, orchestrated, and autonomous AI-driven execution models

Key Responsibilities:

Use Case Identification & Enterprise Enablement

• Translate business problems into deployable agent workflows covering planning, execution, monitoring, and decision support
• Ensure enterprise-wide adoption through reusable components, templates, and accelerators

Automation Strategy & Execution:

• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities using process mining tools (e.g., Power Automate Process Advisor, Celonis).
• Design and implement end-to-end process automation solutions across Syngene Functional Units to delivery value benefits.

AI & Hyper automation Integration:

• Integrate AI Builder, Azure Cognitive Services, and OpenAI APIs for intelligent document processing, natural language understanding, and decision automation.
• Deploy hyper automation frameworks combining RPA, AI, ML, low-code apps, and analytics to streamline complex pharma operations.

Agent Orchestration & Automation

• Implement end-to-end intelligent workflows combining agents, automation, rules, and human-in-the-loop steps
• Drive convergence of RPA, workflow automation, and agentic AI into a unified execution layer
• Enable autonomous and semi-autonomous agents for knowledge work, operations, and decision augmentation

Platform & Infrastructure Management:

• Design and manage integrations across enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, LIMS, MES, CTMS, CRM, data platforms)
• Leverage APIs, event-driven architectures, and workflow orchestration to enable agent-to-system and agent-to-agent collaboration
• Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant platform setup aligned with IT, QA, and regulatory expectations
• Set up and manage RPA infrastructure using Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows), ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Collaborate with IT, QA, regulatory, and business teams.
• Mentor automation team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to low code/ No code platforms such as Now assist, n8n etc.
• Familiarity with Power Platform ecosystem: Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, AI Builder.
• Experience with Azure Cognitive Services, OpenAI, document intelligence, and ML model deployment.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for advanced automation scenarios.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub), and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of hyper automation architecture and process orchestration tools.
