Job Purpose (1-2 Lines)

The incumbent would lead the Strategic procurement of IT CAPEX and OPEX work across Organisation for all locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:  (Maximum 5-8 Points)

  1. Drive Centre of Excellence in the procurement of IT – CAPEX and OPEX requirement at the enterprise level
  2. Effectively manage the RFx process and collaborate with IT and Business to ensure that a shared vision exists for services procured
  3. Assure on-time delivery of procurement within Budget and deliver savings as per expectations
  4. Lead commercial negotiations, contract structure, and tie-up all performance parameters in the contract over the life cycle of a machine/ equipment
  5. Provide oversight as part of the Procure to Pay cycle, which includes the outsourcer’s invoice based on the contract's performance and payment schedule.
  6. Lead contractual negotiations, negotiate the terms with all stakeholders, and manage the Supplier relationship.
  7. Manage vendor performance issues, including documentation, resolution, and, where appropriate, leverage of agreed-upon liquidated damages provisions to ensure that company’s interests are protected.

Educational Qualification:  

  1. B. Tech/ BE
  2. MBA is an advantage

 

Technical/Functional Skills: (Maximum 4-6 Points)

  1. Good understanding of the Supply market of IT services (outsource types, contractors, service providers, Licences).
  2. Cost estimation of IT services and products and the ability to engage technical discussion with suppliers
  3. Deep understanding of supply market and price dynamics of Machines/ Equipment in Pharma industry
  4. Strategic capability to assess the suppliers on their capabilities, including cost, innovation, and execution capabilities

Experience:

  1. At least 10 years of experience in buying IT products and services
  2. Experience in material management in EOU/ SEZ with taxes, duties and other financial implications

 

Behavioral Skills:

  1. Good communication skills
  2. Negotiation skills to manage Suppliers and internal stakeholders
  3. Team building and development
