Core Purpose of the Role:
The Supply Chain Excellence role is responsible for designing and driving strategy and projects for end-to-end supply chain optimization, efficiency, and digital transformation across Syngene’s businesses. The position will lead transformational Integrates Supply Chain initiatives spanning S&OP, planning, sourcing, inventory, and logistics as well as process improvement, digitization and analytics to enable reliable, cost-effective, and agile supply chain that support Syngene’s growth ambitions globally.
Role Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Supply Chain Excellence roadmap including transformational agenda and digitisation initiatives aligned with business plan and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives for Integrated Supply chain (Plan, Source, Store and Deliver) in material planning, inventory management, sourcing, warehousing, and logistics driven by digital/AI opportunities as well as functional excellence
- Lead Central Planning for the Integrated supply chain by designing S&OP processes to integrate planning across all the business units, lead the team of planners, deploy appropriate digital tools and drive execution to deliver inventory optimisation and efficiencies.
- Drive implementation and governance of S&OP to improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and capacity alignment as well as inventory strategies using data-driven segmentation, safety stock modelling, and risk management.
- Design/develop Category based sourcing functional excellence model and drive training /implementation plan across the global sourcing organisation
- Design Supplier Relation Management model to enhance supply reliability through supplier performance analytics, lead-time reduction, and strategic risk mitigation.
- Drive digital transformation across supply chain functions, including automation, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
- Enable real-time visibility of supply chain KPIs through digital tools and performance dashboards.
- Support sustainability initiatives through supply waste reduction, efficient logistics, and optimized resource utilization.
- Drive capability development, training, and adoption of supply chain best practices across teams.

Experience:
Experience: Experienced professional in Planning, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Logistics, S&OP, or Operational Excellence with significant exposure in Pharma/ CRO/ CDMO/ Consulting (Life Science/Healthcare)
Capabilities:
- Proficiency in data analytics, forecasting tools, and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Expertise in process mapping and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate with global stakeholders and cross-cultural teams.
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma, or PMP are an added advantage.
