Job Purpose: Ensuring the safety and compliance of all engineering and maintenance activities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures for engineering and maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analysis for equipment and processes.
- Oversee critical maintenance activities and manage the safety accordingly.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely closure of all safety related audit observations.
- Ensure proper documentation of all safety related documents of engineering maintenance.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of engineering and maintenance sites.
- Identify safety violations and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit safety compliance reports.
- Organize safety training programs for engineering and maintenance staff.
- Organize safety trainings to all the contract staff on safe practises.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Promote awareness of safe practices and the importance of workplace safety.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses related to engineering and maintenance activities.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of safety measures.
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech
Technical/functional Skills:
- Identify safety violations and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit safety compliance reports.
- Organize safety training programs for engineering and maintenance staff.
- Organize safety trainings to all the contract staff on safe practises.
Experience: 5 to 10 Years
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5years of experience in engineering and maintenance safety roles.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of safety standards
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
