Designation: Associate Scientist

Key Result Areas

Role-specific:

• Perform Virus Clearance studies
• Perform virus purification using AKTA chromatographic method.
• Involve in the development of chromatographic method for various virus purification process.
• Design and execute various downstram unit operations such as TFF, AEX, CEX, PA, MMC and Nanofiltration.
• Preparation of study plan, study report, SOPs and other technical documents.
• Involve in GMP and OECD GLP regulated process and documentation.
• Handle BSL2 category of viruses.
• Collaborate with downstream processing, IT, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of processes.
• Analyze experimental data to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven decisions.
• Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and scientific findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure that all the processes are compliant with cGMP, ICH, FDA, EMEA, OECD GLP regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience

Education

 Master’s degree in Biotechnology, life science or related field.

Industry Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant practical experience in downstream process development for biopharmaceuticals, specifically with CHO cell lines for monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins, etc.

Other competencies required for the role

• Proven track record in Virus clearance studies.
• Experience with AKTA chromatography system.
• Strong knowledge of chromatography principles, and scale-down model.
• Hands-on experience in PA, AEX, CEX, MMC, HIC and NF.
• Demonstrated capability in development of downstream unit operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience with automation and data analysis tools applied for downstream process
• Familiarity with OECD GLP.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for regulatory documentation and presentations.
