Job Title: Digital Business Partner – Supply Chain and Finance

Core Purpose of the Role

The Digital Business Partner – Supply Chain and Finance acts as the single point of contact between the Digital IT (DIT) team and the Supply Chain and Finance functions. This role requires a deep understanding of the domain and is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, collaborating with internal DIT colleagues and external vendors, conceptualising and managing digital projects effectively, and ensuring value realisation from implemented solutions. The Digital Business Partner will drive digital transformation initiatives that align with Syngene’s strategic objectives and foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence within these 2 functions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Requirements Gathering

• Serve as the primary liaison between DIT and Supply Chain/Finance business stakeholders.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand, analyse, and document business needs and requirements.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to capture detailed requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable digital initiatives.

Solution Conceptualisation & Project Management

• Collaborate with DIT team members and external vendors to conceptualise digital solutions that address business requirements.
• Develop business requirement documents (BRDs), user requirement specifications (URS), functional specifications, and use cases.
• Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Track project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful implementation.

Value Realisation & Process Improvement

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure value realisation from digital projects.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend digital solutions for improvement.
• Drive process automation and optimisation initiatives in Supply Chain and Finance.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes effectively to all stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Change Management & Training

• Support change management activities to drive adoption of new digital solutions.
• Develop and deliver training materials and user guides for end-users.
• Provide ongoing support post-implementation.

Strategy & Innovation

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to Supply Chain and Finance.
• Proactively identify opportunities for digital innovation and transformation.
• Contribute to the development of digital strategy for Supply Chain and Finance functions.

Technical Skills

• Professional certification such as CBAP, PMP, or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in business analysis techniques, tools, and methodologies (e.g., UML, BPMN).
• Experience with BPM tools (e.g., Visio, Signavio), process mining (e.g., Celonis), and automation (e.g., RPA) will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Finance processes, regulations, and compliance requirements is a must
• Experience with SAP and Finance planning platforms.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Familiarity with SDLC and agile/scrum methodologies.
• Basic understanding of integration technologies and APIs.

Qualification & Experience

• B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or MBA from a premier institute.
• Mastery in business analysis, digital project management, or IT business partnering, with significant exposure to Supply Chain and/or Finance domains.
• Experience in Pharma/Life Sciences preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
