- Overall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the teams aligned.
- Contributing to development of procedures, practices and systems that ensure safe operations and compliance to company’s integrity & quality standards.
- Driving a corporate culture that promotes environment, health, and safety (EHS) mindset and operational discipline at the workplace at all times.
- Ensuring safety of self, teams, and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace.
- Ensure all assigned mandatory training related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self.
- Compliance to Syngene’ s quality standards at all times
- Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals.
- Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time.
Core Purpose of the Role:
The core purpose of the role would be managing and providing improvement opportunities for construction and contractor safety management.
Role Accountabilities
Act as a subject matter expert and provide advisory services across Syngene for all sites in the areas of Contractor Safety Management.

Specific requirements for this role
- Experience – 9 to 12 Years
- Demonstrated Capability
- Education – B.E Civil Engineering / Any Discipline with a Safety experience
Experience
- Implement Construction safety Management across Syngene
- Contractor Safety Assessment and evaluation.
- OHS Management complying ISO 45001;2018, ISO 14001:2015.
- Drive pre-qualification of contractors and onboard qualified contractors.
- JSA review, Gap assessment and Recommendations on Gaps.
- Suggest Continual improvement in consequence management guidelines.
- Development of Task specific Checklist for critical activity and ensuring Training for all the contractors.
- Audit scheduling and Training plan for all the contractors.
Skills and Capabilities
Expertise in handling multiple expression platforms
Capable of thinking scientifically to address complex problems and develop solutions.
Work as a team and have a collaborative mindset.
Good communication skills
Education
B.E Civil Engineering / Any Discipline with a Safety experience
