Job Description:
This is a senior position that is responsible for developing the content strategy for the company. The role has clear objectives of creating a robust content engine for the company and building synergy across the various businesses with respect to content to build and amplify narratives about the company which help protect and enhance its organizational reputation.
Focus is on creating differentiated and high-quality content across a range of topics and mediums including newsletter, emailers, podcasts, video series, intranet, etc. It also involves creating nuanced thought leadership authored articles, opinion pieces, developing client case studies and producing industry white papers, and annual report which contribute to attracting and retaining customers, positioning the company as an employer of choice, and building key relationships with agency partners.
The ability and willingness to be hands-on and work as an individual contributor, as well as a team player, is a must. This job is based at the Corporate HQ in Bengaluru and is a regular work from office role.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing the content strategy: Devising the corporate content strategy, its implementation and measuring impact. This includes:
- Develop a comprehensive content strategy aimed at enabling the company’s business goals including type and format of content, campaign development and execution and impact measurement through user feedback.
- Understand the various businesses and their content requirements to plan high quality content, which is engaging, tailored to the audience, shareable and in narrative / storytelling format.
- Leading engagements with content and event agencies in India and overseas for global markets.
- Developing content champions across the businesses, which will help in fuelling the content pipeline with ideas, inputs and materials.
- Curating business and functional content to resonate with all stakeholders.
- Developing appropriate content for crisis management.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to create corporate narratives around business and functional domains such as HR, CSR, ESG, etc.
- Contributing content to social media and internal communications channels such as newsletter and intranet.
Collaboration with internal functions: Collaboration with functions such as marketing, HR, finance, quality, ESG, government affairs, etc., to curate content for advertorials, podcasts, website, social media, newsletters, internal reporting channels, industry events in India and across the world, etc.
Qualification and competencies
- Strong experience in internal communications/ content management in either a reputed media or corporate organization.
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing). Excellent written communications skills.
- An excellent communicator who can successfully build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- A team player with strong project management skills.
- Experience in implementing campaigns across a range of traditional and on-line media.
- Degree in communications/ journalism/ literature.
