Job Purpose
We are seeking innovative scientists to join our Informatics and Predictive Sciences (BBRC-IPS) group that is 
a part of main BBRC-LDO team. The group works on real-world health data, design experiments and analyze 
both pre-clinical and clinical -omics data sets, including RNA-Seq, Exome and Whole Genome Sequencing, 
single-cell sequencing, high-throughput proteomics, and multiplex flow cytometry to nominate novel drug 
targets, enable patient enrichment strategies, and guide drug development decisions.


Key Responsibilities:
• Understand and work on exploratory drug discovery programs for the identification of a novel/ 
validation of existing targets in collaboration with In vitro Pharmacology, Immunology, Oncology, CV, 
and Neuroscience teams
• Evaluate, develop, and apply cutting-edge methods for the analysis of multi-modal, high-dimensional -
omics datasets coming from both human and animal models with the aim of identifying and/or 
validating new pathways and potential drug targets for fibrosis, cv, immunology, and oncology
• Provide expertise in state-of-the-art statistical methods for data analysis and visualization while both 
advising colleagues and performing hands-on work in an array of clinical and patient care settings
• Influence best practices in areas such as causal human biology, building and assessing predictive 
models, analyzing biological networks, visualizing -omics data, and NGS data analysis 
Educational Qualification: 
Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer or Data Science,
Computational Biology, or related technical discipline
Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in pharma/biotech research environment preferable
• 3+ years of experience in university, hospital, or biotechnology environments for candidates with a 
master’s degree 

Technical/functional Skills
• Expertise in algorithmic implementation, statistical programming, and data manipulation, using e.g., R 
or Python, and contemporary, open-source bioinformatics tools and database structures
• Solid grounding in statistical theory and familiarity with recent developments in statistics
• Skilled at working with large omics data sets (transcriptomic, genomic, proteomic, and/or epigenomic 
data)
• Desirable to have a good understanding of fibrosis and cardiovascular disease biology and biological 
mechanisms
• Up to date with the current literature and utilizing this knowledge to propose new strategies and
validate targets based on the analysis of a combination of both internal and publicly available datasets
