Job Purpose:

To design experiments and develop bioanalytical methods utilizing LC-MS/MS, and support drug discovery efforts by delivering concentration data for NCEs, biomarkers, and other endogenous compounds in biological matrices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare in-vitro and in-vivo bioanalytical samples and execute routine bioanalysis tasks in a timely manner independently.
  • Develop bioanalytical methods and analyze PK/TK/PD biological samples (various matrices) using quantitative LC-MS/MS assays.
  • Interact and communicate professionally with managers, peers, and team members.
  • Maintain proper documentation, such as laboratory notebooks and electronic report files.
  • Experience in utilizing automation in sample preparation is desirable
  • Trouble shooting and leveraging various functions of LC-MS/MS for reproducible analysis is a must.
  • Work collaboratively with different DMPK functions for development of any new assays
  • Timely maintain/ improve any laboratory processes, as required

Educational Qualification:  

  • Masters in pharmaceutical sciences, biotech, chemistry, biochemistry or related fields

 

Technical/functional Skills:

  • Good knowledge of triple quadrupole mass spectrometer platforms and demonstrated operational independence on these platforms.
  • Experience in bioanalysis of small molecules is must to have and knowledge about other modalities such as biomarkers, cyclic peptides is preferred.
  • Candidate should have strong understanding of sample preparation techniques in bioanalysis.
  • Good understanding of the drug discovery process and contribution to DMPK studies is essential.

 

Experience: 3-5 years

  • Good communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  • Should be a demonstrated team player
  • Should have a fair scientific presentation skill
  • Ability to collaborate across DMPK and allied functions is preferred
  • Innovative in approach and should be inclusive to work with the peers and allied departments
