Its innovative culture is driven by the passion of its 4240- strong team of scientists who work with clients from around the world to solve their scientific problems, improve R&D productivity, speed up time to market and lower the cost of innovation.Job Purpose: To provide cell biology support for discovery programs.    Key Responsibilities:Support Discovery programs by generating KO and Knock-in cell lines using a CRISPR-Cas9 based approachGeneration of stable overexpression cell lines using lipid-based transfection.Lentivirus based generation of KO and stable overexpression cell lines.Mammalian cell culture and handling multiple immortalized and transformed cell lines.NGS library preparations for analysis of KO cell lines.NGS data analysis using Geneious softwareGeneration of large-scale Cell pellets and isolation and preparation of membranes and vesicles using differential ultracentrifugationPossess the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practicesEducational Qualification: M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology/Biology/CellBiology/Biomedical Sciences.Required Skills:Experience with mammalian cell culture.Experience in handling multiple cell lines and primary cells.Diligent documentation skills and experience writing detailed Lab NotebooksAny Experience with techniques like PCR, Sanger sequencing, cloning, qPCR, western blotting and flow cytometry and NGSIndustrial experience and/or working for a CRO.Basic knowledge of bioinformatics is a plusBehavioral Skills:Demonstrates effective communication skills, both oral and written, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a cross-cultural awareness.Proactive, works with a high level of independence with minimal supervision.Good organizational, analytical, and planning skills.Attention to detail in documenting processes.Equal Opportunity Employer:It is the policy of Syngene to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation or local law.
