Job Description for Associate Scientist: 8-I

(Mass Spectrometry position)

Educational Qualifications:

M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Pharm or similar qualifications in Biochemistry / Biotechnology /Cell Biology/Biomedical Sciences/ Life Sciences with hands-on experience in protein characterization.

MUST HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Protein characterization using mass spectrometry: routine mass analysis of proteins, peptide mass fingerprinting, released glycan analysis & PTM analysis
• Quantification of peptides, impurity separation & quantification
• Expertise in database search-based protein identification from mass spectrometry data
• Analytical ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction chromatography-based protein characterization will be beneficial.
• Diligent documentation skills and experience in writing detailed Lab Notebooks
• Basic knowledge of bioinformatics is an add-on.

DESIRABLE

• Multiplexed mass spec for protein quantification

• Analysis of protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions by biophysical techniques will be beneficial

• Knowledge on proteomics workflows.
• Biotechnology Industrial experience
